Mutton Kola Orundai (Minced goat balls)


Serving: 20 balls| Type: Non Veg Fry

Ingredients:

Minced mutton -1 LB (450 grams)
Oil -for deep fry
Sombu -1/2 tsp
Cumin -1/2 tsp
Cloves -4
Dry Red Chili -6
Green chili -4
Small Onion -10 to 15
Garlic -8 to 10 cloves
Khuskhus -1tsp(optional)
Egg -1
Chili Powder – to taste
Salt – to taste
Coriander leaves -2tbsp
Curry leaves -few
Grounded pottukadalai mavu -2 to 3 tbsp

Method:

  1. Take a pressure cooker heat with 3tbsp of oil add sombu, cumin, cloves, let it fry without burning.
  2. Now add onion, garlic, red and green chili saute for a minute on medium flame.
  3. Then add khus khus mix it well now add minced meat saute it for one minute.
  4. Now add ¼ cup of water red chili powder and salt.
  5. Close with lid let 2 whistle comes then turn off the stove.
  6. Let it cool down down the cooker.
  7. Open it and check the cooked meat if water is there saute until it gets dry.
  8. Meanwhile powder the pottukadalai in the mixe and keep it aside.
  9. Let its cool down the mutton and grind it smoothly, don’t add water and keep it aside.
  10. Take a bowl mix ground meat and ground pottukadalai,coriander leaves and curry leaves and egg.
  11. Make lemon size balls and keep it aside.
  12. Take a pan heat with oil for deep frying.
  13. Add 5 or 6 balls and fry it on medium flame.
  14. Fry it until crisp.
  15. Now ready to serve with rice.

Note:

  1. If you put the balls in the oil ,if its separates you can add some more pottukkadalai mavu.
  2. If you don’t get minced meat you buy boneless meat and grind it.
